In this tutorial, you will be guided step by step to draw “heart hands” by observing the position of hands in a photograph. Learn about proportions, space and shape to achieve a realistic drawing. Brainstorm different options to paint your hands using simple heart thumbnails.
I will show you an example with a sunset over the ocean inside the heart, all in watercolors.
The second example shows the option of decorating the hands with zentangle inspired patterns and coloring them with colored pencils and /or markers. Finish with a watercolor background in warm and cool colors to contrast.

Materials used:
9 x 12 watercolor paper, pencil, eraser, ultra-fine point black permanent sharpie, colored pencils and or markers, watercolors, paintbrushes (medium and large), water.
