In this lesson, we will be inspired by one of Paul Cezanne’s most famous landscapes, “Montagne Sainte Victoire,” in the South of France. Learn to establish your landscape with simple lines and color in patches in the cubist / impressionistic style. We will use oil pastels and learn to layer and blend colors, add shadows and highlights to bring out the important elements of your landscape. The large line tree in the foreground adds to the sense of near and far in the landscape. The sky is painted using the wet-on-wet technique in watercolor.
